HACKRTU JOINS the CVE PROGRAM AS CNA

CNA

As of today, 9 September 2025, HackRTU joins the CVE Program as a research CVE Numbering Authority (CNA), under the leadership of the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), an entity under the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Administration, through the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure, which acts as the CNA Root in Spain, streamlining CVE ID assignment and CVE Record publishing, thereby speeding up vulnerability management. Partnering with the CVE Program emphasizes HackRTU’s commitment to adopt international standards and maintain an open and reliable communication joining the select group of CNAs in Spain.

HackRTU was born at the beginning of 2025 as the first niche industrial cybersecurity company in Castilla y León (Spain). Based in León, its main objective is to help the community by providing knowledge and building together with other organisations a culture of industrial cybersecurity. Its vision is to detect weaknesses and vulnerabilities, implement improvements and enhance the resilience of industrial companies trying to guarantee the continuity of their operations. Focused on the offensive side of industrial cybersecurity, HackRTU works with the highest ethics, responsibility and respect to provide our customers with the highest quality service.

Today, in addition to INCIBE, the organisations CISA ICS, JPCERT/CC, Google, Red Hat, Thales, and CERT@VDE are Roots while CISA and MITRE are Top-Level Roots. The CVE Program has partnered with over 470 CNAs from 39 countries, 11 of which are in Spain. HackRTU is the eleventh CNA from Spain to partner with the CVE Program.

At HackRTU, we are very proud to have achieved this milestone thanks to the dedication and hard work of our researchers. This marks a turning point for our company, as we are the first industrial cybersecurity niche company created in Castilla y León and now a CNA under the umbrella of INCIBE as CNA Root.
